Binary Thresholding and Alpha Channel Mapping

Signature extraction is an application of Computer Vision logic. Unlike simple 'background removal' apps that use fuzzy AI, our tool uses precise Mathematical Thresholding. We analyze the 'Luminance' of each pixel. If a pixel's brightness exceeds our threshold value, it is tagged as 'Background' and its Alpha (Transparency) value is set to 0. If it falls below the threshold, it is tagged as 'Ink.' However, simple thresholding can leave jagged edges. To counteract this, we apply a 'Luminance Masking' technique that preserves the sub-pixel details of the ink's edges, ensuring that when you place your digital signature on a white PDF, it looks as natural as if you had signed the page physically. This is the industrial standard for document processing and banking-grade security overlays.
